The Renaissance Baby program works on the belief that toddlers have an incredible ability to learn even the most complex concepts and by being exposed to a variety of meaningful daily learning experiences, they can develop amazing intellectual capabilities at a young age.

The curriculum of Renaissance Baby places emphasis on the acquisition of language and social skills. Specifically, the children are exposed to unique character-building program elements that are designed to assist our youngest learners develop independence, critical thinking, and mutual respect in school and in everyday life.

THEMATIC UNITS
Thematic units are presented to the children which are explored throughout the week. These themes help them discover the world around them and in Renaissance Baby, they are primarily done through circle-time, allowing for active participation.

FINE ARTS
An early focus on the fine arts introduces the children to Music, Dance, Drama and Art Appreciation, which aids in cognitive development and fosters creativity at a very young age. Visual Arts play an integral role in Renaissance Baby’s fine arts curriculum.

SCIENCES
Simple scientific principles are explored through age-appropriate presentation, investigation and experimentation. The children begin to learn how to be critical thinkers and problem-solvers as they marvel .

LITERACY
The multi-sensory Letterland Phonics Program is the cornerstone of the literacy program at Renaissance Kids and is used to provide a strong foundation for the children in preparation for reading and for the more extensive language arts program in later years.

LANGUAGES
Through songs, stories and play, French language and culture is introduced at this early age as a precursor to more formal study of the language in Renaissance Junior Kindergarten and Renaissance Academy.

MONTESSORI
Montessori Education is built into the daily program and is used to teach practical life, sensorial skills, math and cultural activities. These self-directed activities give children an opportunity to build independence, discipline and self-regulation.

YOGA
Gross motor skills and self-discipline are developed during yoga sessions, which are designed to be fun and relaxing for children of this age.
